Well, hello there. I haven’t done one of these posts for a while, have I? So, let’s get back into the ol’ goal keeping (not that variety…) with my monthly to-do list for September 2018:
Take In A Show
I’m off to see the League of Gentlemen live this weekend, which I’m really excited about! But, I’m a theatre graduate who never acts or goes to the theatre often, and that’s silly. I last went in April to see the fantastic War Horse (if you haven’t seen it yet, you must!) and whenever I go it makes me miss it and crave it all the more.
So, as well as LOG, I’m itching to go and see at least one other play this month.
Head Up North
I’ve been meaning to go to the Peak District ALL summer, but haven’t made it. (Unless passing through on a train counts? Definitely doesn’t.) So, this month, before the weather goes all yukky and quintessentially British again, I want to get up there with my camera. (It’s hardly that far away from me. I mean, it’s still in the same county!)
I’ve been meaning to go to Bakewell, Buxton, Castleton, Hartington (all the -tons, basically) along with many other lovely Derbyshire towns and villages.
I can’t be the only one who’s had a terrible time sleeping since the heatwave started? Even though the heatwave’s over now, it’s still affecting me.
It’s messed up my sleep routine so badly that I’ve resembled a zombie for the past few weeks. And that’s not a good look for anyone who’s not a fully-fledged member of the undead community.
So, I’m going to crack out my homemade lavender pillow spray, grab a good book, and concentrate on unwinding properly, because I need sleep. Badly. (You can probably tell by the fact my writing’s even poorer than usual!)
Start My Christmas Shopping
Yep. I just mentioned the ‘C word’ in September…
I just don’t want to leave it until Christmas Eve again. (NEVER again.) September seems like a good time to start squirrelling away gifts, doesn’t it? My Nana always used to write her Christmas cards in September, and there’s nothing wrong with being ridiculously prepared, is there?
What’s on your to-do list this month?
