If you’re a regular reader, you’ll know how much of a fan I am of the Boots Cucumber skincare range. I thought it was time to try the Boots Cucumber 3 Minute Wonder Clay Mask, to see if it’s as good as the rest of the collection.
It’s supposed to ‘draw out unwanted excess oils from your pores’ and leave ‘your skin cleansed, toned, and beautifully soft’ but I’ll be honest, I didn’t have a great experience with this face mask.
What’s the Boots Cucumber 3 Minute Wonder Clay Mask like?
It smells nice, for starters. Just like the rest of the Boots Cucumber range.
The consistency isn’t too thick, but it’s nowhere near runny either. You’re not going to get spillages with this mask.
On my skin, however, it felt really drying. In fact, it started to feel a little sore, so I washed it off before the three minutes was up.
Frankly, it didn’t leave my skin feeling softer or refreshed. It just made my skin feel a little tight, sore, and dry. I do have fairly sensitive skin, but it says on the tube that it’s suitable for all skin types. If you also have sensitive skin, I’d steer clear.
It’s a shame, because I do love all of the other products available in the Boots Cucumber skincare range. I love the cleanser, the toner, and the moisturising cream, but this unfortunately just doesn’t do it for me.
On the plus side, a little goes a really long way, and you get 50ml for £1.50, so it should last quite a while. And if you have a negative experience with it as well, it’s not like it’s too much money wasted, is it?
Have you tried the Boots Cucumber Clay Mask? If so, how was your experience with it?
